   Cheek Enhancement

Dermal filler plumps, enhances contours and softens facial creases. Over time the muscles in our faces become closer to the skin's surface, due to the loss of subcutaneous fat. This means lines and wrinkles become more pronounced. Volume is also lost from the face because of the skin stretching and lifestyle and sun damage also has an effect. Dermal fillers provide facial rejuvenation similar to a non-surgical face lift. What are the dermal fillers? The dermal fillers come from hyaluronic acid. We use Juvederm or Dermal Revolution for cheek enhancement. We have hyaluronic acid in our bodies already. It gives our skin the elasticity and plumpness that gives us our youthful appearance. Our fillers are produced as a gel and neither of them contain animal DNA which means they are one of the safest fillers on the market today. Dermal fillers will give you back the volume you have lost over time in your cheeks and cheekbones.

Is It Painful?

We give you a topical anaesthetic before we begin the procedure and the filler we use, Dermal Revolution or Juvederm 4 which contains lidocaine so it can be administered with minimal pain due to its smooth consistency.

What is the procedure?

We will inject the filler into the top of your face bones and then smooth out the gel to give a natural look.

Is there any bruising?

There might be slight bruising, but this should diminish within 2 or 3 days. The swelling may take up to a month to settle down completely. Arnica gel can help with this. Don’t put creams or make-up on the area for at least 8 hours in order to avoid infection. Try not touch the area which was treated for at least a few hours.
